Capri

by Daniella Grace in , ,

Three days in Capri was hardly enough.. This little mediterranean island, although small in size, has such diversity when it comes to scenery and things to do . Each area has it's own vibe and "local charm" that has stayed unchanged for centuries. But one thing that stays consistent throughout Capri, is it's natural beauty made up of limestone cliffs and lush gardens that will literally make you feel suspended over the ocean (not for the faint of heart).. Although my stay here was short, I am so thankful to have experienced this magical little island. And to all the beautiful souls I met along the way, thank you for making my trip that much more special!

Amalfi, I love you

by Daniella Grace in , ,

Out of all the years I've spent visiting Italy, I can't believe this is my first time in the Amalfi Coast. People have been telling me for years that it's the most beautiful place in all of Italy and possibly the world, but I was always more than happy in Tuscany. The North is magical in an entirely different way but the south is all the clichés of "jaw dropping and breath-takingly" beautiful. It's hard to fathom how a place like this is even real. The waters are either crystal clear blue or shades of Emerald depending on the time of day. The towns have so much charm and authenticity kept alive for hundreds of years and the best part is all of the hidden beaches and restaurants along the coast that you can only get to by boat. My sister and I had the time of our lives yesterday when we took a private boat all the way up and down the coast stopping at every hidden cave, beach, and restaurant that you can only access by water. 4 days here have seemed to go by so slowly and I'm so thankful for that but I'm still not ready to leave, so we decided to stay and extra 3 days to see more of the surrounding islands. Here's my photo diary so far. I hope my pictures will inspire you to make the trip and experience how life changing Amalfi really is! 💙

Florence

by Daniella Grace in , , ,

The past three days in Florence have flown by.. but it was just enough time to reconnect with old friends and show my sister all the main attractions/hidden gems of this city... From spending an entire day exploring the Boboli Gardens, climbing the 463 steps of Giotto's Bell Tower for a 360 view of the city/Duomo, eating more gelato than I'd like to remember by the Arno, and watching the sunset on the Ponte Vecchio from the rooftop bar of the Westin, I think we did Flornece right with what little time we had here.. Off to Postiano we go! 💙

Ciao Italia

by Daniella Grace in , ,

I just love spur of the moment trips! I had originally planned to visit my family in Portugal this week but when my sister told me she had booked herself a ticket to Italy and was landing in just a few short hours, I had no choice but to change plans, grab by backpack and hop on a plane.. Haha. So with that said, my sister and I have decided to do a little bonding by eating and drinking our way through Italy. Our first stop is (her favorite city) Venice and next we head to my most cherished city, Florence. But our trip doesn't stop there! Stay tuned to see where we end up next.. Arrivederci! 🇮🇹

Falling in Love - Paris

by Daniella Grace in ,

I've only been in Paris for four days and it has already won over my heart.. I now understand why everyone raves about this city and I can't believe that out of all my travels, it has taken me this long to visit... Once I find a place that I love, it's hard for me to want to travel anywhere else... I am notorious for that... But now I will admit that I regret how long it's taken me to properly visit Paris. The quick layovers I've had here in the past just don't cut it. Also, I lucked out having the best Parisian tour guide by my side to show me all the beauty this place hides outside all the touristy attractions.. And honestly, at this point, as long as I have a croque madame in one had and a macaron in the other, I think I'd be a happy camper no matter where you put me. 🇫🇷

Spain

by Daniella Grace in , , ,

After 15 hrs of travel, I'm finally back in Spain! The weather is insanely hot but it's beautiful as ever here. And thank goodness for Kate's pool or else we'd be forced to stay inside most of the day! Anyways, I'm so happy to be back in my favorite little city of Girona.

My last day of shooting for Project Mermaids, we made the 7 1/2 hour drive north to Bernie Falls. This place is incredible and well worth waking up at 4am for!

Big Sur

by Daniella Grace

This week, I'm in Big Sur shooting with Project Mermaids and I couldn't be more excited! Not only do I get to be transformed into a beautiful mermaid (every woman's dream) but I also get to be apart of such an amazing cause.

We are on our third day of shooting and so far this has been one of the best experiences of my life... From the wonderful crew to the magical locations we've stumbled across, I never want this trip to end..🌿🌎🌊

"Project Mermaids was started in 2012 by celebrity fashion photographer Angelina Venturella and acclaimed underwater photographer Chiara Salomoni who share the same passion for photography and preserving the ocean.  The goal of Project Mermaids is to bring awareness as to how precious the ocean and beaches are and to keep this beautiful environment healthy and clean. 50% of the proceeds are going to be addressed to the save our beach foundation.

To help raise awareness, Project Mermaids is capturing celebrities in mermaid form working with The Mertailor Eric from Florida, which is making and donating the tails for our models. The Foundation has gone viral with over 158,000 followers on Instagram and has continuous growing awareness of their efforts. Project Mermaids has had recent press coverage in the Huffington Post, US Weekly, Just Jared, Cosmopolitan, Perez Hilton, and many more .

The photographs will be shown September 25th, 2015 in an art show and in a table book for the world to see how much more there is beneath the surface of the seas, and how much more there is to work on. The world just needs to see it in order to understand it and take action."

What a day! Thank you Solage Spa for an incredible day with my girls. This place is heaven on earth.. Between the wine and organic facials, I couldn't imagine a better way to spend this little weekend getaway. I'll surely be back again soon! 🌴🌴🌴
